Skeletal
Skeletal
A "chassis trailer" or "trailer chassis" is another name for a wooden trailer.
Skeletal trailers can have a set length or they can be made longer so they can carry a wider range of cargo and container sizes and combinations. Fixed skeletal trailers don't have any moving parts, so they tend to be less expensive than skeletal trailers that can be extended or moved. "Skeletals" can also have necks that grow longer.
Most of the time, containers of 20, 30, 40, and 45 feet can be used. Skeletal trucks have twist-locks that make it easy to attach and remove containers. Containers can be "tipped" with the help of skeleton trucks.
